This rustic hamlet is situated 25kms from the town of Mahabaleswar in Maharashtra. This place is also called as the mini kashmir and it offers amazing views of the sahayadri hills.

Sahayadri mountains otherwise called as western ghat is a mountain range that spreads out the west coast of the indian penniunsula. Tapola is located near to mahabaleswar in maharashtra which is much more famous tourist spot, however this small hamlet has largely remianed hidden. Tapola can be reached from bangalore in a day. Its 856KMs from bangalore and can be reached in 16 hours by road. We had started at 5 AM from bangalore and reached Tapola by 9 PM. The major attraction here is the Shiv Saagar lake. It serves as a reservoir for the Koyana dam, which is one of the biggest dams in the state.

The lake offers various activities like kayaking, scooter rides, boating and swimming.
